Matching Ques Alternative?

Would converting to a drag and drop question be an alternative? Similar functionality to what a matching question is trying to achieve. I know this doesn't address fixing the matching question - just an option.I've never liked the "jaggy" lines in matching questions either, and avoid them whenever possible.
