Lectora SCORM Output Inconsistencies
June 12, 2009 12:00 AM
We're using Lectora Pro Suite and Publisher 2009. With a SCORM 1.2- published test, we've learned that a non-response to a question from a student causes a hiccup in test navigation and affects the submission of the test for scoring, So, we imbedded a modify variable action on each test question page to represent a non-response and that solved the navigation and scoring issue. BUT why does Lectora yield the following inconsistencies in the SCORM cmi interactions data?
True/False Questions
SCORM identifier cmi.interactions.student_response is present and shows our * placeholder indicating a non-response.
Matching and Drag and Drop Questions
SCORM identifier cmi.interactions.student_response is present, but the question ignores our * placeholder for a non-response and yields the default comma separator.
Multiple Choice and Hotspot Questions
SCORM identifier cmi.interactions.student_response is missing and our * placeholder for a non-response is also missing.
As an oganization, we're a little more finicky about test results than some and it's important that we track non-responses during item analysis as well as wrong responses. Does anyone know of a workaround for this or can anyone from Trivantis shed some light on this?
Thanks in advance.
