I'm not a SCORM expert, but do use an LMS and publish to SCORM and you are right. By removing the AU you lose the SCORM specific files and it just becomes a series of web pages that does nothing with the test results. That HTML only file will launch and run great in any LMS - it just won't record who took it or if they passed, which last time I checked, was the sole point of having an LMS .Others might be able to help you more in your pursuit, but you now can tell those developers they're barking up the wrong tree.
