Display Standard 2.0 Message then Auto-Advance When Lightbox Closes

A colleague is working on a course right now wherein she's got 2 text boxes on a page and a 'watch demo' button. The user is permitted to move forward in the course when one of the following is true: Both text boxes have correct entries OR the user has clicked the 'watch demo' button. If the user gets the text boxes correct, we want a Web 2.0-style popup to display a 'correct' message, and for the course to automatically advance to the next page.

When we do this *without the Web 2.0 style, the course advances and the pop-up displays all at the same time. This functionality is fine. When we use the Web 2.0 style, the lightbox displays very briefly, then disappears as the course advances to the next page.

How can we get the lightbox to display and wait until the user clicks 'ok', then have the course automatically advance?

//before anyone says it, yes, I know we could just use 'regular' pop-ups. We don't want to. And I don't like it when I can't bend software to my will. Resistance is futile.
