can't get 'cmi.core.student_name' SCORM variable in lectora v9.x

Actually this is a Flash problem not a Lectora problem. In Flash 10 you cannot set an externalinterfact call to a variable.

There are many ways around this. Here are 2:
FlashVars, or, you can use a Lectora flash command to set a variable in flash, to the Lectora variable AICC_Student_Id (same variable you are looking up from the LMS).

If setting it up with a flash command from lectora, you need to set up a listener for a change in the variable in flash. Set it initially to something like undefined, and then when lectora sets it to the student id, play the flash file as normal.

raugusto said:hi al... I've been using the command below in some flash movies to recover the user name from our LMS. The problem is that this worked up to version v2008 SP2, from this version up (v9 sp1 (6006), v9.2 (6230), v9a (5845), v9a (5847) ) it doesn't retrun the name anymore. There were absolutely no change in the flash commands. I coudn't find any changes to the default js that is added when publishing to SCORM neither and doc saying the changes between these versions that could help me. can anyone put some light on this? Please note that LMSGetValue is a SCORM command to retrieve scorm vars like 'cmi.core.student_name'. _global.nomeTmp= _root.GetValue("cmi.core.student_name") function GetValue ( n:String ):String{ var R:String; var doGetValue = ExternalInterface.call( "LMSGetValue", n ); R = String( doGetValue ); return( R ); } thanks, rodrigo.
