Why Doesn't Action Work On Preview In Browser?

Here's the problem...
I have two buttons placed on top of each other. The two buttons are different colours.
The effect I wanted was for the button on top to fade in and out continuously to give a flashing light effect.
The actions for the top button:
1. on show - hide - this object (delay 0.5, transition fade in/out)
2. on hide - show - this object (delay 0.5, transition fade in/out)
This worked fine.
It doesn't work however when previewed in webrowser or when published to LMS. Using Lectora v11.3.1.
Any idea why this wont work for me??

I think I've answered my own question.
Its due to the transitions fade in/out. Without this, it works.
However, its not exactly the look I'm after, is there any kind of work around?
