Variables as chapter titles

I was wanting to change a text box in the menu, and also change the Chapter name in the Chapter properties dialog box.for example, instead of double clicking chapter icon on left side and then typing "Rent Capitalization" in the Chapter name field on the General Tab and also double clicking on the text icon in my menu group, I would like to define a variable (pq1) to contain "Rent Capitalization" and leave VAR(pq1) in the chapter name field and the menu text box. This way when i create a new course based on this template, I only have to type in the new chapter name once in the variable.
