Show/Hide action only working once?

Hi all,
I am working on a page that has a group of items (text boxes, image, button) that are all set to NOT initially visible (we'll call this group "info"). I have another button on the page that is initially visible (let's call this "show info button"). The action on the show info button is just that, to show the hidden info group. This works... the first time. When this group is shown, there is a button in the group to hide "info". This also works... the first time.
So the issue is that when a user comes to this page, they click the show info button. They see the info. They then click the other button which hides the info. But if they want to go back and re-read the info, when they click on the show info button again nothing happens. Nothing happens unless you go to another page and then come back, thus reloading the page.
Has anyone else had this happen? Am I clear in my description of the problem? I have tested this in IE8, Firefox, and Chrome and the same thing occurs in each so it's not a browser issue.
Any ideas?
