Preload for HTML w/ Flash

No it doesn't. I'm not sure exactly how it works, but as far as I can tell the page won't load the content until the flash has loaded, but your users will look at a blank screen until then. I say better to load the page and have the flash show that it is loading than to have people wonder if thier web browser quit responding. Can anyone else shed some light on what exactly happens when you check "preload for html publish"...
