Hand cursor on text box links

Looks like the cuase is the change contents action I have on each text box. Moving the actions somewhere else does nothing. Why would changing the contents to the string value of a variable change cursors if its still linking properly?Also I didn't mention ealier that I see the hand cursor in preview mode but not after published in IE or FF.
