Preload for HTML Publish

I’m curious how often people toggle the “Preload for HTML Publish” checkbox (checked by default) for any of their images and animations that don’t appear initially. Some of our pages are getting content heavy, and long downloads may start to become an issue. Has anyone found it beneficial? If so, how long before the page initially loads would you consider it safe to not preload an image/animation?And as a bonus question: Why isn't there an option to do this with sound and video? Do these automatically stream?Thanks in advance
