Lectora 11.3 is removing spaces from test answer variables
November 8, 2013 12:00 AM
I updated the other day and anything I’ve published is causing issues with our tests. We submit results to a custom script, but it is suddenly outputting all test answer variables with missing spaces. This causes some of our script to misidentify correct answers as incorrect. I have a workaround that should fix our script, but it is odd that is removing all spaces from the test answer variables. Also, multi-line test answers are have very tight line spacing despite having it set to 1.5 lines.

11.2a was the previous release, which was released shortly after 11.2 in order to correct some issues with the updates. Texh support told me the lack of spaces may be due to switching to UTF-8. I don't know. I just don't want to go through changing all our scripts and then find out I have to change them back if they release an 11.3a.
Is 11.2a the same as 11.3?
Not sure how the versioning is recorded.
I'm seeing 11.2a - which hopefully has kept me safe from these issues.
For some reason, anybody who took a test previous to the update now gets a messed up test score result unless they clear their cache. I really hope they fix this as I can't really make any updates with these messed up test results. Even the name they enter at the prompt is coming back without spaces. I informed tech support but I appear to be the first to experience this.
