Knowledge Check Button Actions: Display Message + Go to next screen

I have a knowledge check in my title the requires the user to click a "submit" button to check their answer.
On the submit button there are two actions:
1. On click Display Message (right answer/condition/else-wrong answer)
2. On click go to next page
In the preview and the executable file, this works exactly as it should, whereas the user clicks submit and the message box pops up to indicate right/wrong answer. The screen advances to the next page only after the user clicks "OK" on the message box.
When I load the course onto the LMS, the Go To Next Page action does not wait for the user to click "OK" on the message box, but the two essentially occur simulatneously, so the user sees a message box pop up very briefly but does not have time to read it before the screen advances to the next page.
Anyone else ever experience this?? Way to fix?
