Multiple conditions to proceed from knowledge check

I have course with sections whereas a user is directed at the end of each section to other sections depending on where he has been.
The last page of each section has a knowledge check which is must be completed before the other actions that will bring him forward to wherever he is branching take effect.
Currenly, the forward button on the knowledge check page has an action to run action group. The action group contains the different actions and conditions associated with the branching. What do I need to do to combine this action group with the knowledge check requirement?
I have a separate submit button on the knowledge check page to process the question.
