Collaborating with SMEs

We have a user acceptance testing site for our LMS that is identical to the LMS site that our students access (Learn.com). We simply publish, upload, and import the course that needs to be reviewed into the LMS and push it out to the SMEs to take as a student would. We have had times when our UAT site was inaccessible and therefore had to do the same type of testing using our main LMS site.However, it would be different if our SMEs were outside of our Company and did not have a log-in to the LMS, so I am guessing that others have had very different experiences from my own...
