Can't seem to get Preview mode to work in Lectora 12

Every time I try to run preview mode I just get a white screen with an X in the upper right corner. Is anyone else having this issue since upgrading?

I emailed but without a way to exclude objects from Preview mode there doesn't seem to be a way to handle it. I might need a new way to include authentication files, but currently they are on a part of our website that I have no access to.
Run mode doesn't work either. I see this is one of the new features but it is not letting me test out anything without publishing it first. I'm going to have to email support as this is a huge hindrance.
I've contacted support and our development team to make them aware you're experiencing this issue. If you can send a title to support that exhibits this behavior, that will help us to identify what's causing it.
If/when I find out the problem, I'll also be sure to post it here for everyone.
This is an issue with some user authentication files I included as external HTML. Not sure how to handle this other than removing them and adding them every time I publish a title. But that will be an issue as we have occasional pages that are not protected.
