Buttons turn completely transparent
January 6, 2015 12:00 AM
I made a copy of a Lectora 11 title and opened it in Lectora 12. All buttons were visible. I published it and the test score was incorrect at 4% instead of 89%. I republished and the test scored correctly. I moved onto my next title and had no issues. I reopened the first title and all my test navigation buttons are transparent.
Has anyone found a solution for this? Support told me this is known issue with Lectora 12 and there is nothing that can be done until the next service pack comes out.
How did this possibly get through beta and released with transparent buttons? They’re completely invisible. How can someone navigate the course if they can’t see the buttons?

That is really odd especially since there were multiple beta testers.
I tried twice to apply to be a beta tester and it said since I already had a user name and password for a previous beta test that I was already signed up. But I never received anything to start using it.
Did your buttons work? Consider yourself lucky....some of my buttons were viewable, but didn't even work. Going to re-try again today with another course that was created in v11.
This is going to make life really hard for me....I have a template created in v11 that I use for all of my courses within a series - if I have to recreate my template for v12, I am going to need a bottle of Grey Goose to take away the pain!
Ugh.
This is a huge bug especially since buttons are how a title is navigated. This essentially means I can't import any courses created in previous versions and can only use Lectora 12 for new titles.
Not only do the standard test buttons that Lectora creates turn transparent, but so are any custom 3-gif buttons. The resources section is just gone from the Properties tab so I have no idea how to fix those buttons.
I reported this to Lectora support last month.
It doesn't happen for me all the time but on some old courses it does. Can't tell what makes it occur.
They said it was a known issue and they would address it in a patch.
I beta-tested Lectora 12 including opening old complex titles and it went fine for the most part. Specifically, buttons worked flawlessly but I only use transparent buttons and action attached to images, not any other kind of buttons. I've always found those three-state buttons too fiddly to build.
I mostly used the 3-state buttons that are provided by default on tests. Those all turn transparent when imported into Lectora 12 (after saving). I have one custom 3-state button that also goes transparent. I don't like creating those but our graphics person created it for me since it was supported by Lectora.
