What is an 'Assignable Unit?'

Hi,
I am confused. :confused: What is an 'Assignable Unit'?
I am publishing to SCORM for integration onto a LMS. My course must be 508 compliant and will have quizzes throughout the course. Should I create my entire title in the 'Assignable Unit' suitcase? Or is it only for quizzes? Will it effect 508 compliance?
