Vimeo Full Screen icon disappearing

Hi all

I'm using Lectora 16.2.2.

I have several videos throughout my course, and these are hosted on Vimeo. When I view the published course, the full screen icon in the Vimeo video does not appear. I've seen a few posts on forums about this, and from what I can gather, I need to put something in the parent iFrame to allow full screen. It seems the Lectora published settings overwrite the settings I've configured in Vimeo.

Does anyone have any experience or advice with this kind of issue? The only thing that has changed recently is that I've added sub-title files to Vimeo, so that I can choose the language to display in the video. Before that, I am sure the full screen icon was working, but I could be wrong.

Cheers

Amanda

There was a previous conversation over here that talks about the fact the web window drop the "allowfullscreen" verbiage when being added into a course. From my understanding the dev team is currently working on correcting the issue in the next version of the product (17.1).

Thanks Jennifer.

If the issue is within LMS published titles I have found a fix for it here:

@approg that works perfectly, thanks so much. I'll send a message to Apixel to thank them as well.

That's odd. The "fix" works by replacing frameset/frames with iframes.

When I drop a video onto a page and HTML publish the full screen icon always appears. Do you need to test it off a web server?

undefinedjvalley4735 Do you know if there was a fix for this included in the latest release? I'm using a workaround for now, but it seems odd that Lectora can't publish with Vimeo embed codes without causing the full screen icon to disappear.

Thanks

Amanda

Thanks @approg but I'm not publishing for SCORM. This problem presents itself when I publish a standard title to web (HTML), and also when I publish to ReviewLink.

The issue is that Lectora claims that published output is HTML5 compliant but when you publish for SCORM (and the LMS opens the title in a new window) Lectora uses framesets.

Framesets were made obsolete in HTML5 at least two years ago (though people knew it was coming in, I think, 2011)

No, I created a new project and placed a vimeo embed code into the page and published to HTML. Still does not work until I edit the index.html file.

Maybe it's something at my end.... i'll test again.
