Summing test section totals

Hi - I have created a bunch of questions (not using a test) and have totalled correct and incorrect answers in a 'scorecard' by adding 1 to 'section' variables on every checkbox/choice button. Now I want to add the section totals to show total correct answers / total incorrect answers.How do I sum the section totals?
