Send Email action

Am I just missing something, or is there no longer an action to set up a hyperlink to "send email"?

We removed it because it had inconsistent behavior, and we didn't think anyone was using it. So there are a lot of posts in the community on how to work around it. Here is a pretty good one:

I just noticed that this thread is in the Lectora Online forum, not the Lectora Desktop forum. Would the solution to the problem of wanting to have a "mailto" link be different? Do I need to repost to the other forum?

Take the text after the "topic" in the url and put it in search, sometimes it works better with just the first few words so for:

Put "send text from lectora" in the search.

That's what I have been doing, it is frustrating, hope this helps.

Thanks! I had tried that, but had used "send text from lectora to an email" and it didn't work. When I tried shortening it, as you suggested, it did. It's annoying that I had to do that, but I'm glad it worked at least! Thanks again!

Lectora Desktop Discussion which is essentially the same solution.

This forum link doesn't work, now that the forums have moved off of "community.trivantis.com." It's maddening that this functionality is gone (and that "mailto:asdf@asdf.com" doesn't work with a "Go to web" hyperlink, as it does in other programs). I hope eLB can find a way to hook up old referral links to where they need to go in the new forum site!

Guess I'll have to keep digging for a solution...no idea why Trivantis or eLearning Brothers didn't think anyone was using it!
