Publishing to HTML and the index page

I have an Assessment that is made up of a Introduction page, a Test Chapter (with a test section), and a Results Chapter. My first page is named Introduction. How can I get a script into the index.html page when I publish to HTML? Is there a way to control what goes into the index.html page without having to open it up on the back-end?
