Putting a time limit on each question in a test

I agree, we don't want to surprise them. We've added instructional text informing the this is a timed test and they need to complete it in a certain amount of time. The other piece I forgot to mention is that I am putting a timer on each question which will give them one minute to answer and then advance them. That was the piece I hadn't figured out yet. I was curious if anyone has a similar requirement for any type of certification?

There are 50 questions and the end-user only has a minute to answer each question, at which point they are advanced automatically to the next question.
