Programming Guru… Please Help Me (Flypaper)!
April 5, 2013 12:00 AM
Need big help on Flypaper, went to Flypaper forum and it’s a ghost town. This sounds fairly simple ‘programming,’ but I don’t know how. All I want is to add an exit button, clicks on it closes the running (IE) SWF… that’s all. Talked to Trivantis support and he didn’t know, so I’m desperately seeking gurus out there. The attached image shows that Javascript & ActionScript can be done to the button property… Am I on the right track? I searched that Javascript won’t execute on local drive, so I’ll have to host it. Oh and Flybrary Close Presentation component doesn’t work on SWF (which is a real head-scratcher). Thank you for any input.

I'm sorry, what exactly do you mean by 'closing the running SWF'? Do you want to close the current window?
Thank you, ssneg. I got so desperate when posted the thread. Solved my own question. In Flypaper, button properties:
Action: Call JavaScript
Method Name: window.close()
Thanks again… feel like an idiot for starting a thread.
Having same issue. I tried the javascript solution that you mentioned before, but when I click the button in the course, nothing happens - no error message or anything. When I mouse over the button, my cursor changes to a pointing finger, but nothing happens when I click it. Any thoughts?
