On Timer Action

I'm having difficulty getting the On Timer action to stop. I've tried the Hide action on buttons and a couple of other things, but the image keeps appearing through any image that is laid over it. How do I get the On Timer action to stop or not appear (keep blinking)?I'm having difficulty getting the On Timer action to stop.
