Linking to PDFS

i have the same issue, it closes the module, as it opens the pdf in the same window, instead of a new window. Instead I used a hyperlink.So, import the pdf's are external files, then instead of a url put in the filename.pdf. When you export your module make sure these external files are in the root folder.
