How do you Disable Maximize Window

Hello All - How do you disable the maximize browser window? I want my course window to be set to specific size and don't want to give my user the ability to resize the browser window. Doable? Thank you all as always.

You cannot actively display the buttons in a browser window while making them dysfunctional. However, you can launch your course up in a new browser window and have the toolbar undefined

Sorry, Evan. How do I insert it, exactly? As an HTML object? What are the settings when inserting? Thank you.

I'm afraid there's no good answer. Once a webpage is open in a window, the page cannot lock or control the window. For a good reason :) Imagine all the chaos if webpages started resizing your windows... In fact, it was like that, some 20 years ago.

You can lock window size only for popups. The parent page defines the popup window options, including dimensions and ability to resize. So if you're launching from an LMS, it is up to LMS to open the course in a popup of specific size etc. If you're launching from your own webpage, use the code above to launch a popup instead of just a link.

Thank you so much, Sergey and Evan. I guess it is what it is.

Hi Wee,

I remember you in the past being on a Saba LMS. If you have Content Administrator rights, you can create a new Content Player and set the height and width according to your course size and then use that new Content Player.

Hi Wee,

I'm not too sure I understand. Do you need the learner to view the course as full maximize (screen size) or not (rereading the thread)? The Saba "Empty" Player actually uses an iFrame. This iFrame is set by the height and width you attached as a screen shot. So I'm not too sure if you wanted to fully maximize on launch or to restrict to a certain size (as defined in the content player).

On the other hand the 3x/5.1 content player, doesn't use iFrame but causes another 'middle' screen to appear, but you probably knew this already.

Thank you, Kelly. I'll try that and report back.
