Flash Play & Pause button

I know this should be fairly simple but so far I can not get this to work. I have a flash piece on a page. It was created with Captivate 3. I have placed two button on the page, one for "play" and the other for "pause". The pause button's click action is setup: Action - Flash Command, Traget - swf name, command - pause. The play button's click action is setup: Action - Flash Command, Traget - swf name, command - Play. There are no conditions on either button.The swf is setup for: initially visible, always on top, auto start, and preload.Here is what happens: when I select Pause nothing happens. When I slect Play the screen blanks (swf disappears.All I am trying to do is to be able to stop and then start the swf file using buttons.If anyone has any ideas please let me know. Thanks in advance.
