Find and Replace in Lectora Inspire

The Find and Replace function in Lectora Inspire is not great. I have found that when I try to replace one word or phrase with another, I end up having to run a spell check because the replaced words get stuck to other words.

Has anyone experienced this and found a solution?

You can try exporting the RTF for translation, replacing texts in it using WordPad, and importing it back.

Thank you.

This sounds like a work-around. I would prefer it if the Find and Replace function worked properly.

Perhaps I should submit a support ticket instead.

I have never had a problem with find and replace. Did you have a space at the end of your word in the "Find what" field but not put in a space at the end in the "Replace with" field?

No, the strange thing is that it works for part of the title, but then seems to get tired out and then runs words together... an example is when I was doing a search for "displays" to be replaced with "appears".

The result was some words were replaced, and others were "disappearss" .. as though the new word has been stuffed inside the old word...

so weird...it may be the size of the title, as there are plenty of pages and chapters, but I would have thought Lectora could handle a large file.
