Can swf files cause lock up?

spuleo...thanks so much for your response. your fix is something i will definitely keep in mind.we continue to test and so far have found that in our situation Flash may not be at the root of the problem. it's beginning to look more and more like a snafu at the LMS end. that being said, if anyone out there still has additional input, i do welcome it.thanks again spuleo.
