Can Lectora 2008 edit 2007/2006 awt files

An IT person at our company thought there was an issue with Lectora 2008 not being able to open 2006 and 2007 files to edit. Is this correct? I am hoping not and would seem that most software can at least open older versions to edit, just not the other way around.Thanks!!
