Can I have a link that is already opened, open in a 3rd new window?

Hi,
I am creating a course that has a menu of lessons. When a user selects the lesson, the Lesson will open in a new window. From there, within each lesson I have a series of links that I would also like to have open in new windows. But every time I tell those links to open in the new window, the link opens in the Lesson window and does not open as a pop-up. Is it possible to have a link open in a 3rd pop-up window?
