Buttonhyperlink not working

Hi everyone,
My wbt consists of 10 pages of questions, rather than having a link to the documentation on each page (looks too busy). I've added a button at the bottom of my screen next to the previous and next button. So what needs to happen is: I'm on page 4 and I want to review the documentation again, because I've closed it, I click on the button (filing cabinet icon) and another window pops up with the links to our LiveLink system. I have 3 different documents that learners have to access so I don't want to put hyperlinks at the bottom of the page.
So this is what happens. On the page that I've created the links on, I've also included the filing cabinet button, the button works. It will open the page in a new window, I can click on the links and I can access the files. But then on the next page, when I test it again, I get an error message when I click on the filing cabinet button. It says "Cannot find "file:///C:/Documents.........Make sure the path or internet address is correct. I get this message when I put it in the browser mode. When I put it in run mode, the links work just fine. The button only works on the page that the links are on.
Any ideas on what I can do to resolve this issue. Its as though its not copying over the link and I've checked the inheritance. I've chosen Inherit all objects from the parent. As I mentioned its much more asthetically pleasing to have a button than an bunch of links on the page.
Thanks in advance.
