writing a course to CD with mulitple SCOs

I have a course that is made up of 8 scos and a final exam (SCORM 1.2 // Lectora 2007 with the service packs) that the customer now wants to be published to CD. I need some quidance on how to approach this. My customer uses a Meridian LMS. When the student takes the course on CD, how will I get his/her completed status for the course and pass/fail for the exam tracked and sent to the LMS? I've experimented with the SCORM/Disconnected publishing. I gave a sample of the xml file that is generated to our LMS Administrator and he said that it is not compatible. What other approach can I take publishing this from Lectora?The other question is how do I combine 8 titles into one with out a nightmare of chapters and pages getting mixed up?
