Un-inherit problems

Hi all,
wondering if you could help. Still pretty new to this. I have a pop up window and I want to change some of the properties of the page. I have un-inherited the chapter and the page but it seems even though I have done this it hasn't made a difference. Every time a move the navigation button to a different part of the page it moves the button in the entire title.
Is there something else I should be doing?
