Test Randomization

Hi, is it possible to have a test randomize question pages from a bank of questions? So say there's 10 topics, 2-3 questions are possible for each topic, and the learner needs to answer 1 question from each topic. The client wants the topics randomized.

Thanks for any input!

Hey klerch1749,

Yes, it's possible, but it's time-consuming. Ten topics and three questions result in 30 answers. Putting these 30 answers into a learning success assessment doesn't guarantee the desired outcome: randomly displaying two or three questions from each topic. One possible solution: Store 10 tests in Lectora. Depending on your needs, you can specify how many questions are randomly displayed in each test. Tests 1 to 9 behave (in a similar way): "Test passed" and "Test failed" redirect the learner to the next test (with the "GoTo..." instruction). Test 10, for example, contains a link to a page informing learners that the test is being evaluated. On the evaluation page, the 10 test results are added together and divided by the number of tests. If, for example, the test is considered passed at 50%, page "X" is displayed; otherwise, page "Y" is displayed.
