scroll through objects on same page
January 9, 2015 12:00 AM
Has anybody creating the ability for a learner to scroll through objects on a single page using one next button? Here's what I would like to do:
5 text objects on the page (they are one top of each other and initially hidden, except for the 1st one).
When the learner clicks a button the first text disappear and the 2nd appears. Learner clicks the same button again and it moves to the 3rd text object.
The learner would also be able to move backwards through the text objects.
any Suggestions? Is it easy or difficult to complete?
I am currently using Lectora 11.
thanks for all your help.

Easy to do. If you have four "pages" (sets of objects), create four groups that include texts, images and buttons (!) for each page.
Group 1:
image1
text1
btn_next1 (on click - hide Group 1, show Group 2)
Group 2:
image2
text2
btn_next2 (on click - hide Group 2, show Group 3)
btn_prev2 (on click - hide Group 2, show Group 1)
Group 3:
image3
text3
btn_next3 (on click - hide Group 3, show Group 4)
btn_prev3 (on click - hide Group 3, show Group 2)
Group 4:
image4
text4
btn_prev4 (on click - hide Group 4, show Group 3)
ssneg, you're right. I missed that back button. Above is good.
On the page I have an image (ipad) that has a forward and back button on the image (the NEXT button to continue to the next page is separate). Every time the learner clicks the forward button on the image then the next text object appears, if the learner was to click on the back button on the image the previous text object would appear. So it looks like they are turning the page on an ipad image. I have attached an image of the page.
Any additional thoughts?
Thanks

Above is good for FWD. What is the user supposed to do to move backwards? Do they click another button or what?
Why would you say that? If you read carefully, there's the "btn_prev" that moves backwards (i.e. hides the current group and displays the previous group) in my setup above.
@switalba, your iPad idea is exactly what my setup is for. Use it.
