Results shows Question # from Variable not Question Name

I am using customized results to show students only the number of the question they missed. I've tested this and purposely missed "Question 8," but on my results page it shows I missed Question 10. I looked at the question properties and the only thing for question 8 that has 10 is the variable name (Question_0010). This is because some questions were deleted and such.
Any suggestions for getting the test results page to use the Question Name instead of the Associated Variable Name?
