Random Test Questions Error
July 6, 2006 12:00 AM
Greetings. Let me see if I can help.1. The randomized test can not have any Action process associated with it. e.g. Action Name: Action1 On: Mouse Click Action: Go To Target: Next Page2. The randomized test knows when the end of the test is reached and thus will end the test at that point to give you a result. Hence, if you had a test bank of 50 questions, but you randomize for 22 questions each time a test is taken, Lectora will generate those 22 questions and end it at the 22nd test.Based on those two points, start with checking to see if you have any associated actions within the test and remove them.Check out previous question and another previous question.Note these responses from Lectora's Knowledge Base.a) First, check the Test Properties by right clicking on the test in the left and pane and selecting properties from the menu. Ensure that the option to 'show the test results to the student' is checked from the results tab. b) Next, we need to make sure the test is being submitted at the end. The set up will greatly depend on whether the test is being randomized or not.If it is not randomized, make sure you have a Submit/Score Test action associated with the button on the last page of the test.c) If randomized then the very last page of the test should have a button set to go to next page. This is because the last page may end up being the first question. Lectora knows how many pages to randomly pick and will automatically submit the test when the student leaves the last randomly picked page.Test results will not be displayed until the test is submitted at the end. Those responses helped me to fix my randomized testing problems. Let us know how it went.
