Progress bar?

Hey, if you haven't missed the obvious some time, you haven't been pushing hard enough. I have seen your stuff. You are pushing the envelope. When you start making your course really good, not just ordinary, you will start asking a lot of questions like you do. The more questions you ask, the more you try to do, the more opportunities there will be to miss some things. If you just do what you've always done, then you for sure won't make very many mistakes.I worked for the state government here for several years and often wondered why people around me did so little and were not very creative/innovative. Then one day it dawned on me. The only way you got fired there was to make a mistake. The only way to make a mistake was to do a LOT of stuff (thus increasing the probability of error) or to try new stuff (risky). So, the bottom line was that people were rewarded (they got to keep their job) by doing little or by not not being creative. Needless to say I was asked to leave because I had more errors than the average employee. I'll leave it up to you to figure out why.So, neither you nor anyone else should kick themselves for missing some obvious thing. If I listed all mine or all the times I have done something when I "should have known better", well let's just say it would be a very long list. We are all learning. That's why we have this forum.Anyone know of a good forum for philosophers? I think I need one ;-)Edited By: Ben Pitman on 2007-4-13 8:50:43
