Please explain persistent data

Persistent data in the programming-world can be identified as data that exists between sessions. For example, your students start your course on different PC's. Somehow the program has to build the course on that PC from scratch, and does this by loading different pieces, and organizing them in the right way. Basically what HTML does, together with the scorm-api.These pieces must be available for the program to fetch, and under no circumstance must users be able to alter that data. It is stored in a database or file, where students/users cannot see the file. That being said, we need some more information, or perhaps a screenshot to know what data Lectora is talking about, and be able to solve this one for you. Please provide some more information.
