Password Strength Tester in Lectora title?

I'd like to build an exercise in a Lectora course on information security that allows the learner to input a password and have it tested for strength, similar to what you see on many websites. I've found suggested html scripts for this, but what I have found requires knowledge of java script and jquery that I don't have.

I'm wondering if any generous person out there has already tackled this and has an html object that they would like to share?

I'm also considering how this could be accomplished using Lectora variables and functions, but didn't want to recreate the wheel if it's already been done.
