Page Numbering Tool

If you are numbering at the chapter level, the easiest way is to put the pages in a separate chapter and don't allow the learner to page thru to them by eliminating the Next button on the last page of the regular course. But if you want more work for yourself then: The page numbering tool puts the page numbering code at the chapter or title level. So, if your pages are at the end of the chapter, simply put them in a separate section and in the properties of the section, do not inherit the numbering objects from the title. That gets the numbering off the pass/fail pages -- i.e. the numbering is not displayed. If you want to eliminate display of the pages, just put an action at the page level that says GoTo the Next Page.If you do NOT want them included in the page total page count on the other pages, you have to go in and add 2 actions to the page numbering code to subtract as many pages as necessary from # pages in the chapter/title. 1. first set your own variable to the number of pages 2. then subtract from it the number of pages you do not want to display. If all this is not clear, please post questions.cheers, benEdited By: bpitman on 2006-2-14 7:16:35
