OnDoneShow doesn't fire in HTML version and MP3 export fails

I have designed an entire eLearning based on having the "next" button become visible after the audio narration is complete. It works correctly in the Preview and Run modes.
When I publish to HTML two things happen:
- Some WAV audio files are exported as zero-length MP3 files, silently. Nothing should ever fail silently in any program.
- For those pages that have valid audio, the audio plays ... and the OnDoneShow event never fires.
I'm amazed that two such basic features would fail so blatantly.
My environment: Lectora X.5 (8226) under Windows XP (SP3), viewing the course using Internet Explorer 8.
