Mac Compatibility

Please use the Apple software update utility and download the 10.3.9 update. Afterward, try running the software update again and I believe there is a Java update for 10.3.9. Once this update is installed, try restarting the machine and try viewing the course again using the Safari browser. To use the testing, form submittal, AICC/SCORM communication, and/or email submission features of Lectora published HTML content, the Lectora content must use LiveConnect internet functionality found in the title manager applet. This functionality allows Javascript and Java to freely interchange data on a website. If your content does not contain any of the above features (it was published to straight html and does not contain a graded test or form that gets submitted), it should work on most Mac platforms running Safari and Netscape browsers.Lectora 2005 published content fully works on Apple machines running Mac OSX 10.3 and higher with the latest version of the Safar browser (1.2.4) with Java 1.4.2_05 or higher. In OSX 10.3, Apple has added the support for the Apple Java plug-in, which works with the Safari browser. So if the content is published to AICC/SCORM and/or contains a graded test and/or contains a form or test which gets submitted, it will work on a Macintosh running OSX 10.3 or higher using the Safari browser when published using Lectora 2005. Netscape and IE browsers do not currently support LiveConnect functionality on Mac.
