Lectora Freezes

I've been an intermediate user of Lectora (v2006 SP5, build 4310) for almost a year since last spring. We've been using it in our training and development group to create quick e-learning presentations lasting about a couple of minutes, and longer e-learning segments that can last up to about 20 minutes.I can honestly say that I've also lost a lot of work because Lectora freezes unexpectedly a number of times during one particular project. The graphics editor could use some improvement; I really hate it when graphics in the workspace jumps around everytime an object or group of objects are selected. That's when it froze, and I lost everything, and had to reboot. Subsequently I had to rebuild the Lectora AWT source file from scratch...That was not fun...Also the layering feature is pretty bad compared other grahics apps. such as Photoshop or Illustrator.Currently, we're running Lectora on an HP Core 2 Duo machine with 1 GB RAM, and 80 GB hard drive. Anyone out there have any suggestions about "anti-freeze" Lectora features that I don't know about or hardware and/or software procedures besides backing up your work that can help prevent freezes? Please let me know...Thanks in advance.
