Keystroke Action Question

Not a problem!Actually you may have stumped me though... although I will post my thought process in case anyone else can run with it. I just finished a "hotkeys" CBT and had to trick Lectora into accepting some keyboard shortcuts that it didn't want to at first.1. Back up your title.2. Name your action something that isn't repeated throughout the course. I'll call mine ActionDenise. Assign a keyboard shortcut to it -- I'll use the down arrow.3. Export your XML file. (File > Export > XML.) Lectora will automatically put it in your title folder.Open the file using NotePad or WordPad or some basic text editor.4. Scroll all the way down to the bottom and make sure the last bit of code is . If it is not, try to open the file with DreamWeaver or UltraEdit or something else that can handle large XML files, because otherwise, you're going to lose half of your title in step 7. (You did back it up, right?)5. Use the Find to look for your action. I just searched for ActionDenise and found the following code:ActionDeniseThat first line refers to the second line. Your action id and parent will be different, but we don't need to worry about that.6. Change "down" to "someotherhotkey". This is where I'm stumped... I can't figure out what Lectora calls the period (assuming this can be done using this method at all). Here is what I've tried:".""period""Period""dec""Dec""decimal""Decimal""dot""Dot"All to no avail... but I have used this method successfully with other keyboard shortcuts that could not otherwise be programmed in Lectora. Assuming you figure out this part, here's the rest of the process:7. Save the XML file, then re-import it into your Lectora title. (In Lectora, File > Import > XML.)Hope this helps in the end.Judy
