Hyperlinks in course on an LMS

We have a homemade version of an LMS. A client of ours recently asked if we could send the SCORM files of our courses to them so they could put them on their own LMS. A couple courses contains hyperlinks. They work fine on our system and launch a new browser window, but when the client tries it on their LMS the hyperlink appears to be broken. Is there something in their LMS that is preventing it from launching a new browser window or do I need to do something different with the hyperlinks because it's on an LMS? I've only used our homemade version of an LMS so I'm not aware of how to make it work on a real LMS. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

They are to one of our corporate sites. Absolute.

Hyperlinks to where? Are they relative or absolute?

It only has 1 link in it and they just said 'it's broken' and that it doesn't work. I wanted to do my homework first before responding to them to ask any additional questions. I'll have to see if they can provide me with more information. Thank you!

As far as I know from the LMS's I've used none have restricted link access. Perhaps there are restrictions on their server? What response code/error are they getting (404?)?

Do any links work?

Ask them to copy the url, open a browser and see if it works without the LMS.

I got a little more information from the client. The link isn't 'broken', but it isn't taking them where it's supposed to take them. They say when they click on the link it takes them back to the homepage of the module rather than to the URL. Any thoughts?

I didn't have them try that yet, hoping this would mean something. I'll see if they can get the URL to work.

That's odd. Did they try to copy the link and paste it in a browser without the LMS?
