How to build so users' progess is saved?

Greetings! I just received a link to a CBT (I'm not sure where it was created but I think an older version of Lectora) from someone in my company. There are several things it didn't do that I know can be done. I am a new user, and I want to make sure as I build my titles, I create a way for participants to be able to exit the module, and return to the place where they left off or start again. I know this can be done in Lectora 2007, which I have, but I don't know how to go about it. Is there any additional information I need to provide?
