How to build a good checklist

I reads like you want the users to select 1 event from the list. So, why don't you use 1 Single Choice question? The information "I won't take part in the other 4 events" is not really relevant, is it?

Add actions to the radio buttons:

On: Select/Change

Action: Modify variable

Target: AICC_Score

Type: Set

Value: 1 (for the first), 2 (for the second)

The LMS will save the score and you'll know that a user who scored "1" has selected "Event 1".

can i also do this with 3 single choice questions? i have build it in my title.

Ok, I'd use one Multiple Response Question. The Question variable always contains the answer a user has selected, e.g. "Device A,Device B,Device D". If you check "Retain value between sessions" the value will saved to the LMS.

As always there are many ways to achieve it.

Hi Tim, i want also build this as Device List. Students should select if they got their whole stuff. For example... they should select if they got their Computer. So when the list is completed (all answers right) i can see, that the student have all equipment.

I have only to find a way how i can see the Points in our LMS (ilias). For the Check-List its not really important but i see in your screenshot Moodle displays the points.

it works really good, can you please show me, how i can do this with only one multiple choice question with multiple response, the idea is to set all answers to "correct". So for example if the student skip one field, the whole question would be interpreted as wrong. Is the way right?

It's basically the same. The question variable will contain the users selection, e.g. "Computer,instruction". To save the value to the LMS you should check "Retain value between sessions".

In the previous example we used a condition "If all questions are correct". Now it should only be "If Question_1647 is correct". We used "passed" and "failed" to mark users as "fully equipped" or not but you can also use "completed" and "incomplete".

Well, I said it's "basically" (but not exactly) the same. If you want to do something (like this or something different) you always have to be aware what you want to achieve and what data you have to be successful.

In our previous example we had 3 separate questions, one for each item, saying "Computer? Yes (correct) or No (incorrect)." etc. While building the text for the variable we could use conditions like "if computer? is correct (=Yes)".

Of course this can't work if all items are in the same question. You can add "Computer_Yes" if the question is correct, but the question IS correct when all options are selected. This means when the question is correct, the "devices_received" variable should be "Computer_Yes_Keys_Yes_Instructions_Yes". So you need to analyze the question variable to identify the options a user has selected.

The new sample provides the following information about a users answers to the list:

100 / passed: All options have been selected

50 / failed: Some (but not all options) have been selected

25 / failed: The user has not yet received any item but has anwered the form

0 / incomplete: The user has opened the course but not answered the form

yeah cool :-) so what do you think if want to build something like a declaration of consent, where the students have to agree by thicking a box....for example ...like this... i tested it and it works... i build it in a very easy way :-) (for me its only imported to see if the question is answered correct or wrong)

The only thing you might consider is having a question with only one option. But it depends on whether or not you need / want an explicit declaration for each of the paragraphs.
